Kristin D. Phillips
Kristin D. Phillips (Ph.D. University of Wisconsin-Madison) is Associate Professor of Anthropology at Emory University. Her research centers on the intersections of energy, poverty, and infrastructures (such as housing and electricity grids) in both the United States and East Africa. As a sociocultural anthropologist, Dr. Phillips studies how energy systems both constrain and enable human flourishing, as well as how people interact with and make use of energy and its infrastructures to make homes, livelihoods, and relationships.
